            Attention Middle Age Adults (those in their late 30s, 40s, & 50s), your feedback would be appreciated for a brief meeting directly following our worship service today concerning our Growing Young survey.
            Journey through Scripture: Join us at Midweek Service on Wednesday, September 5, at 7:00 p.m. for prayer & Bible study as we come to know the Lord better while gaining insights for our lives.  We will explore the gospel significance of the annual offerings mentioned in Numbers 28-29.
            Please pray for all that are involved with our NC Mountain State Fair Seventh-day Adventist Booth, guests, sponsors, volunteers, that the love of Jesus will be shared. Average attendance at the fair is 180,000 for the 10 days, with thousands visiting the booth!  It will be September 7 – 16.  Thank you Prayer Warriors!             The Women’s Prayer Circle is meeting in the choir room each Tuesday at 10 o’clock.  Contact Rosemarie Clardy at 828-665-2895 for additional information.
            PATHFINDERS!  Wednesday, September 12th at 6:30 p.m. is the last day you can register for Pathfinders this year.  Remember that in order to go to Oshkosh you must register on the 12th!
            Islam and Christianity in Prophecy—Tim Roosenberg, author and evangelist from the Idaho Conference will be presenting the Islam & Christianity in Prophecy seminar at the Arden SDA Church, September 15 at 6:30 p.m. This seminar will bring prophecy to life like never before.  It will make sense of Daniel 11 and current events (including Trump’s actions), and clearly explain the role of Islam in prophecy.
            Attention elders and board members! An elders’ meeting will be held Monday, September 17 at 6:00 p.m. followed by the church board meeting at 7:00 p.m.
            No Man Left Behind, a men’s retreat open to all men, will be held at NOSOCA Pines Ranch September 28 – 30. Register at www.carolinasda.orgby September 20.
            Congratulations!  Tyler May and Amanda Matteson will be married on Sabbath, September 22nd.  In lieu of a wedding shower, the bride and groom have requested monetary donations which will be applied to the building of their new home.  Bring a card with a monetary gift enclosed and give to Pastor Jonathan at Wednesday’s midweek service or bring on Sabbath and give to Tangie Smith.  These gifts will be compiled and given in behalf of the church family.  If you have any questions, please contact Tangie at 400-4034.
            Our next communion service will be held Sabbath, September 29, followed by our international potluck.
            The Appearing series with Shawn Boonstra will be October 11-14 at 7:00 p.m. Our follow-up series, Ready for the Appearing, will run October 18-20, & 25-27. Please remember these upcoming evangelistic outreaches in your prayers and your systematic giving to our local church budget so these events will be blessed and accomplished.
            Come to the Great Gravy Showdown at SonRise!  Chris May and Glen Robertson are dueling it out to see who can plate the tastiest biscuits and gravy.  Sunday morning, October 14 from 9 to 11 am, SonRise Community OutReach* will be slinging a breakfast of eggs, turkey sausage, grits and the all-important biscuits and gravy.  For $10.00 you can enjoy this rib stickin’ breakfast and cast your vote for the best gravy of the West . . . West Asheville that is.
            MPA is looking for a mission minded LPN or RN for the current school year who currently lives within 30 minutes of the school.  Retired nurses are welcome to inquire as well.  For more information, please contact the principal at: or call 828-418-2419.
